In the world of rehabilitation/physiotherapy cycling is often prescribed as a great way to build quads strength without aggravating sore and painful joints. Mostly this is true but even in the good knee cycling can also cause pain if your cycle training is not approached in the correct way. The attached article has some great ideas, certainly many points relevant to patients that I have seen in the clinic and on the bike. Good luck and enjoy your cycling, painfree of course.
