B.AppSc (Phty), B.A, GradCert PM
Jason Coyle is the principal physio at our Leichhardt clinic. He graduated from Sydney University in 2000 with a B.App Sci - Phty. He was awarded entry to the Golden Key National Honour Society for academic excellence.
After the completion of his degree Jason worked at the Royal North Shore hospital before travelling to the UK where he worked as a locum in the public hospital system, the military and private practice. While in London he also worked with members of the London Contemporary School of Dance.
Jason has a hands on treatment approach involving a combination of manual physiotherapy techniques and exercise prescription. He feels that a stiff joint or tight muscle must be moved or stretched appropriately before an improved range of motion or movement pattern can be restored. Strengthening with activity specific training, allows the patient to return to their normal activities in the shortest possible time frame. Often using the Pilates tower reformer, Jason can help the patient strengthen the upper and lower limbs whilst employing good core control. As a physio his main emphasis is to get you back to what you enjoy doing with realistic goals and timeframes.
Inner west Physiotherapy Practice servicing Leichhardt, Lilyfield, Annandale and surrounding suburbs.
Jason returned to Australia working in various private practices, starting his inner west career as a physio at a Lilyfield private practice, before setting up Physiosense Physiotherapy in Leichhardt.
With over ten years experience as a physio in a variety of clinics, Jason has accumulated a broad scope of treatment techniques that can be applied to the patient that wants to return to their favourite sport, work or general activities of life.
On a personal note Jason loves the Inner West. He has lived in Annandale and Stanmore, while working at a Lilyfield physiotherapy practice for the past four years. The benefits of village life while having the facilities of the city was what attracted Jason to the Inner West. He loves taking his son to football practice in Haberfield and gets a little too excited at the under 7's matches. He has always been active in sport and has a keen interest in golf and mountain biking.
